I love the magic of life, whether it was making mud pies with flowers as a child and sharing them with Fluffy the cat, or experiencing the journey of travelling as an adult and capturing life and culture all over Europe.
I fell in love with light and how different it is all over the world.
I left the security of full time studio work, picked up my camera and haven't looked back since.
I’ve worked in the industry since graduating from art school with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1998.
After 6 years of working solely with studio light I'm now excited to be re exploring natural lighting and all that nature has to offer me. Low light in gardens and forests, morning light shining over the ocean. Whether it’s a wedding or a child’s tea party, boys climbing trees and throwing mud. Newborn babies yawning, families laughing at each other or capturing the beauty of a big round tummy in the last few months of pregnancy.
I love to tell a story through photography and I feel the only way to do this is to engage with children, letting them be themselves, encouraging adults to put aside our insecurities and have a laugh together or dragging props into the garden and playing dressups with the kids.
I adopt the same approach with weddings and will tell your story as the day unfolds, tears, laughter and of course the gorgeous bride and her man.
